Reflection
My experience was very nice because I didn’t go on the trip so the tours I took were very personalized and casual. We gotta ask lots more questions and go in areas we couldn’t if we had a much larger group of people. The schools I visited were Chapman and Soka University of America. The schools were dramatically different, Chapman was a larger school in a more suburb neighbourhood, while Soka was a very very small school in a valley and extremely nice campus. These schools gave me a great idea on the size of college that I want to be apart of, Soka just seemed so empty while Chapman was lively even when class was in session. Then where it is, Soka had almost nothing around near it and Chapman being near the orange circle looked much more enjoyable. I’m most looking forward to the freedom of choosing your own schedule. This I think would be the best feeling because I can work my classes around what I’m doing. I’m most concerned for splitting up my personal time and making time for homework. I would love to study abroad, where I’d go I have no idea but it seems like an extremely interesting way to learn. The only club that sounded interesting to me was their tour system. I already give tours at HTHNC and giving tours at a college campus is very similar just a larger campus. I think I’m interested in the Cal-Poly system of schools, mostly because of how they’re teaching styles are. From what I saw the way they learn sounded like the way I like to work on projects. I would like to stay local for college.
